Using this website

Using this website means you accept the terms below. If you don’t accept them, please stop using the site.

Scope of service

Modern Kitchen San Diego refers homeowners to remodelers. We aren’t the contractor. We hold no contractor license, we don’t carry out any kitchen remodel work, and we don’t set or collect what it costs. What we do is match San Diego County homeowners with independent, licensed remodelers who handle full gut remodels, cabinet refacing, custom cabinets, countertops, kitchen islands, backsplashes, open-concept wall removal, flooring, electrical, lighting, and design-led renovations. The price that counts is the quote from the remodeler you’re matched with, and before any work begins you can check a contractor’s license at cslb.ca.gov.

Service agreements

Any kitchen remodel work is covered by its own written service agreement, signed between you and the crew you’re matched with. Warranty terms, cancellation policy, payment terms, change order policy, and the punchlist process for your project all come from that agreement, not from this site and not from Modern Kitchen San Diego.

Intellectual property

Unless a page says otherwise, everything on this site belongs to Modern Kitchen San Diego, including the written copy, kitchen remodel photos, and branding. Feel free to read it, link to it, or quote a short piece with credit. If you’d like to reuse whole articles, images, or branded materials, please ask us first.

Third-party links

Some pages may link out to other sites, like manufacturer documentation or building code references. Those sites aren’t ours, we don’t control them, and we can’t take responsibility for what they say.

Limitation of liability

Everything on this site is offered as-is, with no warranty. Our role is introducing homeowners to independent contractors. We don’t supervise, direct, or guarantee their work, and the service agreement you sign with a crew is what governs it. If you try any DIY advice from the blog, that’s your call, so stop right away if something feels unsafe.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change now and then. When they change in a material way, the "Last updated" date above will show it. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept it.
